MADX
CREATES SURREAL SANCTUARIES

for self-discovery and quiet rebellion.

Melanie Rothwell has spent two decades as the creative force behind some of the world's most recognized brands - shaping visual identity, experiential campaigns, and brand worlds at agencies including Publicis, Grey, Peter Arnell, Jack Morton and Saatchi & Saatchi, and through her own studio, Tiny Penthouse. She rose from designer to Art Director to Creative Director, building other people's visions at the highest level. Then she started building her own.

MADX is the other side of all of it.

Trained at Pratt Institute, she brings the full weight of that professional discipline - visual storytelling, emotional precision, world-building at scale - into a fine art practice conceived and directed entirely by Melanie. Her paintings start in the physical world and refuse to stay there. Oil on canvas. A camera catching rare light at the wrong hour. Then layer by layer - digital painting with a pen tablet, photographic collage, generative computer art, subtle motion, on-chain immortality - each piece becomes something that couldn't exist in any single medium.

Surrealist figurativism, mythological creatures, water and wild nature, dream-states and the hidden geometry of the living world - her work pulls you somewhere between memory and imagination and holds you there.

She has exhibited at Art Basel Miami, Art Expo New York, ETHDenver, NFT.NYC, and Consensus Miami. Her work has found collectors in New York, Miami, Hawaii, Berlin, Dubai, Milan, and Canada. Select works exist across both physical and digital form - released as on-chain collectibles for collectors who want to own the work in every dimension it lives in.

Collected internationally. Based in New York City.
